Solar Interconnection

Connecting customer-owned solar generation helps harness the abundant sunlight of our region to power homes, while providing a reliable source of energy from the utility when renewable generators are not producing energy.

Interconnection is a key step for customers looking to install solar panels or other renewable generation technology. This process enables customers to safely connect renewable generation sources to Florida Public Utilities’ grid.

We are here to help you through the process.

Setting Up Renewable Generation Interconnection

Florida Public Utilities’ Company customers who install customer-owned renewable generation systems and desire to interconnect those facilities with the FPU electrical system are required to complete and submit the Renewable Generation System Application.
