August 31, 2011–Florida Public Utilities Company, a subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation [NYSE:CPK] through the coordination of the Southeastern Electric Exchange is providing crews to assist Baltimore Gas & Electric Company with Hurricane Irene restoration efforts. Baltimore Gas & Electric still has approximately 230,000 customers without power. FPU’s personnel are currently in Pasadena, Maryland and will remain on-site until BG&E customers have had power restored.
