August 14, 2012—After receiving final approval by the Florida Public Service Commission on August 14, FPU has announced that they will be putting the Gas Reliability Infrastructure Program (GRIP) on the fast track. Joining forces with partner company Central Florida Gas (CFG), the two energy providers plan to replace more than 350 miles of gas pipeline over the next ten years.

In addition to proactively upgrading the aging infrastructure well in advance and further ensuring the highest level of safety for community members, the GRIP project will also boost local economies by creating new jobs.
