Fort Meade, FL (January 20, 2014)—FPU has signed on to be the Entertainment Sponsor at the upcoming Battle of Bowlegs Creek Heritage Festival. Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Battle, 2014’s three-day event will take place Friday, January 31 through Sunday, February 2 at the Fort Meade Outdoor Recreation Area on U.S. 98.

As in years past, the weekend’s largest attraction will be the reenactment—complete with horses, cannons and real-life descendants of Battle of Bowlegs Creek soldiers! This year’s entertainment roster will feature Florida Artists Hall of Fame recent inductee and the “Father of Florida folk music”, Frank Thomas. An expected crowd of several thousand adds to the anticipation.

Attendance to the Battle of Bowlegs Creek Heritage Festival is free. There will be a $7 parking fee per vehicle. Let the Battle Begin…
